A team of NHL players will take on Canadian fans at a hockey festival in Toronto on Sept. 27, 2018.
(NHLE/The Players’ Tribune) The NHL players who will be in attendance are a group of five NHL stars, including Wayne Gretzky, Sidney Crosby, Rick Nash, Jonathan Toews, Joe Thornton and James Neal.
(The Players Club) The Toronto Maple Leafs, who play the Montreal Canadiens in this year’s Stanley Cup Finals, will also be at the event, which will feature a hockey clinic and a free concert featuring the Toronto Raptors, Raptors II and Raptors III.
Tickets to the event are on sale now.
(Eugene Robinson/The Canadian Press) The festival will feature performances by the likes of the Montreal Blues, Toronto Maroons, Toronto Raptors and Toronto Raptors II, as well as artists including Kacey Musgraves, Joe Satriani and more.
The event will be held at a new venue at the corner of University and Dundas streets.
Here’s what to expect.
The Leafs, the team of players who play in the NHL, are expected to make their mark on the community by taking part in a free hockey clinic, a free concerts and a concert with the Toronto Maroon.
Tickets are on offer for the free concerts at the festival.
A concert with local musicians will also take place, as will a free clinic featuring some of Toronto’s best performing musicians.
The festival also will have live music and a food truck.
The Maple Leafs and the Toronto Maple Pro Hockey League will be the main attractions at the weekend, and the Leafs’ players are expected at the festivities.
Toronto will host a game between the Leafs and New York Rangers on Sept 17, and then the Leafs will host the Chicago Blackhawks on Sept 20.

The Leafs’ next game is against the Anaheim Ducks on Sept 23.
