When the world goes through a major pandemic, it becomes hard to find a job.
There’s always going to be a shortage of skilled workers to fill jobs, and the economy is a lot more vulnerable when there’s a major crisis like the one currently raging across the country.
But some people may find themselves in the position of caring for an older relative or a sick relative, and they might need to step into a job that might otherwise be left to the professionals.
In an interview with The Hill, former CNN host and producer of the reality TV show “Bam” Ben Stiller said he had a couple of experiences where he found himself in the situation.
“My brother’s the producer of ‘Bam,’ the show, and he’s got an older brother who died of brain cancer a few years ago,” Stiller explained.
“My brother is a producer of shows like ‘The Voice,’ and he had an older cousin, and she’s been sick for a few weeks.
So I thought, ‘Oh my god, what do I do now?'”
When Stiller heard that his brother had died, he was devastated.
“I thought, I’m never going to get to see my brother again,” he said.
“But he was so kind, and I got a lot of inspiration from his life.”
The former CNN personality, who was born in San Francisco and grew up in the city, went on to start his own production company, Stiller Films, that would eventually produce the hit series, “BAM,” in the mid-2000s.
Stiller, who now lives in Los Angeles, was able to put a lot into his brother’s legacy, and it was clear that he was more than capable of running his own company.
But after his brother died, Stillers brother was not so lucky.
“He passed away from cancer a couple months after the show aired, and we didn’t have a chance to do the show at the time, because we were so busy with his legacy,” Stills brother said.
Stiller Films was forced to shut down, and after being diagnosed with ALS, Stills family decided to move to a smaller town in North Carolina.
“I got a phone call from my brother saying, ‘Mom, Dad, you gotta come home,’ and I said, ‘Dad, I love you.
You’re the best person ever,'” Stiller recalled.
“We had to make a decision to go and work at the mall in Wilmington.
We’re not going to stay at the house for a month, we’re not doing the things we love doing.”
After getting a call from his brother saying he would be able to come home soon, Stilling and his brother made plans to move back to their home in Wilmington, North Carolina, in August.
The former “Bambi” star has since been able to keep his job as a producer on the show.
Stills production company is producing a new series, called “Glamor” about a girl who has a modeling career.
Stills mother, Susan Stiller Stiller (far left), and his younger brother Ben (center), also a producer for the “Bamm” series, both said that they were able to find jobs after the death of their brother.
“There was nothing I could do.
We got a job, and then we went back to living with him,” Stillings brother said, adding that he hopes to find some sort of career after his sibling’s death.”
That’s the one thing I want to do, be an actress,” Stilla Stiller told The Hill.
“You know, I don’t know how I’m going to find something to do with my life.
I want something that I can do for a living.”
